Thrive Preteen Camp Conduct Policy

The following is a statement of conduct for all May Kids activities (events, camps, trips, etc). It must be read and signed by both the student and the parent. 



I (Parent/Guardian and student named below) agree to abide by the following code of conduct in its entirety during all May Kids activities (events, camps, trips, etc).



I Will Respect Everyone.



  • I will respect, listen to, and cooperate with all adult leaders and any other supervising adult at all times.

  • I will respect each person in our youth group, visitors, and others.

  • I will not bully, gossip, harass, intimidate, demean, physically attack, verbally abuse, threaten (verbal or written), or direct innuendo to ANY person at ANY time.  Bullying will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances.

  • I will listen when others are speaking, as I want to be treated in the same manner.

  • I will not disrupt teaching times, small group times, etc, with pranks, goofing around, or other obscene behavior.


I Will Respect Property.



  • I will respect all property that both belongs to and does not belong to me. I will not steal, destroy, or hide things that do not belong to me.

  • I will not intentionally damage, destroy, or trash any other space used. Which includes the campus of May FBC, and places we are guests.


I Will Respect Myself.



  • I will refrain from all improper behavior, including the use of illegal drugs, tobacco products, vaping products, and alcohol.

  • I will refrain from using profanity – this includes racial slurs and derogatory comments.

  • I will not bring weapons to any May kids activities. 

  • I will not bring harm to myself, or others.

  • I will not leave the supervisory presence of adult leaders without their prior permission.

  • I will dress modestly during all youth activities. This includes all students and adults.


    • No inappropriate words, slogans, symbols, or advertisements on clothing.

    • Males – when swimming, swim trunks and a shirt are expected.

    • Females – when swimming, swimsuit and a shirt is expected.



I Will Honor Christ in all personal relationships.



  • I will do my best to reflect a loving, gracious, and respectful attitude when engaging with others.

  • Public Displays of Affection (PDA) are NOT permitted during any May Kids activity.


Failure To Comply Will Result in One Or More Of The Following Consequences:



  • Being sent home from related activity/event at Parent/Guardian expense

  • Meeting between student(s), parent(s), and Youth Pastor

  • Being dismissed from next May Kids activity – as determined between Youth Pastor, Youth Leaders, and Parent/Guardian
